Saudi Arabia: Your Saudi Visa Medical at IPSA

Your IPSA Saudi visa medical: What tests are involved?

The required medical examination involves a physical examination and your medical history being taken by your IPSA clinician.

The various blood tests that are required for your Saudi visa are:

  • HIV
  • Syphilis/VDRL
  • A full Hepatitis B profile
  • Hepatitis C Abs
  • Urinalysis
  • Malarial Abs
  • Bilharzia Abs
  • Liver function tests
  • A pregnancy test for women

In addition to this, you may also require both a TBQ and chest X-ray.

How long does it take for my results to be finalised?

Unless you take up the option of the expedited 24-hour service, then the results take up to five working days (or seven working days if you require the TBQ test).

Saudi visa medical with TBQ: £410

Saudi visa medical with TBQ and chest X-ray: £500

Are there any additional charges?

If you are over 40 (or if it is clinically indicated), you will also require an ECG, which is available for £90.

If you are over 50, then your prospective employer might also require a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test to be carried out, which is available for £90.

If you have a history of diabetes, then you may also require an HbA1c test, which costs £90.
