Minor Injuries & Procedures At IPSA

We offer a clinic for removal and treatment of minor skin lesions including warts, moles skin tags, abscess drainage etc. We advise a consultation prior to removal of the lesions to allow our doctor to review your lesion and discuss feasibility and best possible way to remove the lesions.

Some samples that are removed may need to be sent for histology and there will be an additional cost for this. However this will give an idea of what the nature of the lesion was and the report will include whether the lesion was benign or suspicious and whether further care is required.

We can also provide initial care for:

  • Minor Burns
  • Cuts and Stitches
  • Hay Fever Treatment
  • Foreign Body Removal
  • Abscess Drainage
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Treatment of Nose Bleeds
  • Removal of Skin Tags and Moles
  • Infection management
  • Wound Reviews and Dressings
  • Joint Injection
  • Splinters

Joint Injections

Our clinic is able to administer a range of injections including joint injections. Joint pain can be caused by many different conditions such as osteoarthritis, repetitive strain injuries and different forms of tendonitis including golfers elbow and tennis elbow.

These conditions can often cause inflammation or reduced movement of the joint.  Joint injections can often be the only management option in instances where pain and inflammation in a joint has persisted despite regular anti-inflammatory and pain killers. Here at the clinic we provide a review of pain management and joint care. A shared management plan will be made at the time.

A consultation and examination is required prior to a joint injection to allow our doctor to assess and examine the affected joint and if needed, joint injections can be administered onsite to dampen down the pain and inflammation in the affected joint. Common areas for joint injection include knees, shoulders, elbow and for cases of plantar fasciitis the heel.

Hay Fever Treatment

Here at the clinic we also provide hay fever injections. This injection will help to alleviate some of the most troublesome symptoms of hay fever including persistent rhinitis, itchy eyes, sneezing, nasal congestion and skin rashes. Hay fever injections last approximately 3-6 months and are usually given at the start of hay fever season.
